Are Those Seasonal Allergies Hitting?

Spring is here and so is that sneezy, coughing, and runny nose season for many! For years we would use the classic standy by, Benadryl until learning there are better options without the added junk, dyes. Not to mention who has time to be knocked out with a busy lifestyle!

Did you know, changes in our gut microbiome can make us more susceptible to allergies. Something I would've thought you were crazy if you had told me until getting sick and completing the long process of healing. Since repeating the process with one of my girls who also battles allergies, hers have cut down drastically! Check out my Gut Health course if you want to learn more. Below are some of our family favorites that have helped us so much!!

Air Doctor Air Purifier

The air insides our homes can be even more polluted than outside air which is why a purifier is important!

This Air Doctor has an UltraHEPA filter and VOC filter

It captures the microns you can't see from:

  • Smoke 0.1-1 microns

  • Bacteria 0.06-0.02 microns

  • Viruses 0.1-1

  • Pet Dander 2.5-10 microns

  • Pollen 10-20 microns

  • Mold 10 microns

This is one I've had on my list that I planned to wait to invest in on Black Friday, but then as you know, train derailment "season" hit not once, but twice close to our home which had me jump in early. I can't tell you how amazing its been, for us it covers our entire downstairs and manages to reach our bedroom as well. Since starting I can actually breathe through my nose like a normal person the past month. You will want to vacuum the filter once a month to help prolong its life.

We've been slowly switching everything we use to homeopathic options and Genexa is a great brand!

Genexa allergy covers:

  • Sneezing

  • Running nose

  • Nasal congestion

  • Sinus pressure

  • Itchy nose and throat

D-Hist was recommended to us by a Functional Medicine Doc, since learning about the Genexa brand we tend to use that more as its certified organic.

Genexa uses no artificial sweeteners or preservatives, artificial dyes, parabens, common allergens, or artificial flavors. Certified vegan, gluten-free, organic, lactose free, & non-GMO.

ION Sinus Support

This nasal spray helps with airborne irritants by soothing and protecting your nasal passages.

The cool part about this company is they

Also checkout the Beekeeper brand. We learned about them this past winter and have added them to our supply.

One we used before these was NutriBiotic Nasal Spray Plus, while they use many great oils, there is polysorbate-20 which isn't great and would prefer to avoid.
