Are You a Self Conscious Mom?

I'm that mom that is SUPER self conscious about my looks, especially my smile. I'm sure we all struggle with that to some degree, but for me smiling, and ACTUALLY not avoiding the camera is difficult. I'd rather be behind the camera than in front of it. Despite going from a 12/14 to a 6 physically, those emotional issues/insecurities sometimes take longer to work through. It drives my husband crazy that I prefer to make crazy faces than smile for a photo. But then I see my mini me's not afraid to smile or make a crazy face and let that freak flag shine and I stop beating myself up. It's important for us to learn to accept our insecurities and/or flaws not just for us, but for our children as well. They will only learn to accept their imperfections and be confident if we are. What you may see as your biggest imperfection another will seem them as your greatest strength!
