Is Tylenol the safest option for kids?

Have a fever? Grab the Tylenol!

Or at least that’s what it seems like has been ingrained into us.

Fevers are a symptom and covering them up is not going to help and can prolong it. These symptoms are a way for your body to fight off whatever infection you have. Bacteria thrives at normal body temps, so your body raises the temp to kill em off.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗧𝘆𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗼𝗹?

Tylenol is still one that shocks me as it's suggested by so many people to use including doctors we may trust! Upon digging into ingredients awhile back and how it can affect certain systems I was honestly surprised yet again. This was one we used for years with our four kiddo’s. Now we’re learning from experiencing how much damage it can do, especially for those with MTHFR.

One dose of Tylenol trashes your glutathione levels” Dr. Ben Lynch

When glutathione levels are trashed, the immune system is losing its ability to regulate itself b/c healthy glutathione levels support a healthy immune system.

It’s a powerful antioxidant that helps metabolize toxins by binding with them, cleans up the messes free radicals cause, aids in repairing health and removing the junk from the body! Acetaminophen depletes glutathione stores in the liver thus making whatever is causing the issue to stay around.

Your immune system will struggle with low levels of it.

If you’re going to use it, the Genexa brand would be a cleaner option at least. While I’ve listed it here, it’s not one that we use anymore.

Should you panic if this is what you’ve been using?

No! This is about becoming more aware so we have the knowledge to continue or seek other options as there are risks involved when using.
