Chocolate Peanut Butter Granola Bars

Writer's picture: Meg Rogers, CNMeg Rogers, CN

Anyone that knows me knows...mornings are not my friend. Yet at the same I want to make sure that our kids have something healthy to start the day, and then a treat to go with it later too! After they've had some protein, what better way to start the day then with a energy packed granola bar to get them through until lunch.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Oatmeal

Serves 9 2 cups old fashioned oatmeal 1 egg 1 cup milk of choice ⅓ cup melted peanut butter 1½ TBS cocoa powder - I used dark chocolate ⅓ cup mini chocolate chips 3 TBS honey Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl. Pour in to greased 8x8 baking dish Bake at 400 for 20 mins

Check w/ toothpick.
